Skillshare is hard to cancel. There’s a slight chance this has changed but when I looked into subscribing, there was a lot of people complaining about having to email the company multiple times to cancel.
Since Squarespace is templets, they legally own whatever you make. If you decide to change providers, you can’t take it with you. You’re stuck with them forever or have to rebuild your website from the ground up. You at least own the domain name so there’s that, but for me it’s not worth the work if I have to restart should I ever decide I hate the company.
I want more people to know this because every time I’ve looked into something advertised by youtubers, it’s never been good.

Yeah. Unlike Quirks, reaching new Semblances levels isn't as simple as "do this thing enough times & you get a new ability."
It seems to require some form of emotional maturity or some kind of "push," like the case with Ren's Semblance Evolution in Volume 8.
yeah Semblances are superficially similar to Quirks in that they're both one unique thing everyone can do. but mechanically and thematically they are totally different. Quirks are, at their core, a muscle you learn to use. theyre usually at least somewhat based in a physical characteristic. and barring AFO/OFA shenanigans they're static. they don't change or evolve in their basic function. Todoroki will never make electricity or see in infrared. Bakugo will never make other things explode without touching them. Uraraka will never make anything heavier.
Semblances are completely different. they aren't physical. they aren't extentions of the body. you can't just train them to get stronger. they're extentions of the soul. they're the remnant of magic that people have that the Brothers couldn't steal. and they can change if the soul changes. it's no coincidence that in V1-3 Ruby was basically just super fast but then from V4 on she's literally been rose petals. the trauma from Beacon changed her approach to combat. Yang probably won't ever just get more attack power from being hit than she does now. but she might be able to give her strength to her teammates eventually.
additionally, look at how losing your Quirk is portrayed compared to losing your Semblance. Mirio isn't happy about losing his quirk, sure. but it's the same way you'd act if you were badly injured. downtrodden, demoralized, maybe uncertain about your future, but nothing like Mercury losing his Semblance. for Mercury, it's like he lost a piece of his soul. because he literally did. it's the deepest violation he could have received. he's more upset about it than all the rest of the abuse he suffered. because Semblances are internal to a character. where Quirks are external.
